Known as a pioneer of electro-shoegaze and electronic acoustic bands, they were the first to be called "Post Rock"!
Seafeel had a huge influence on the electronic audio scene.
After 15 years, they have made a miraculous comeback with the addition of former Boredoms members!
Experience their fantastical worldview that is dynamic, complex, yet mellow and euphoric!
Since their debut in 1993, Seafeel has moved around cutting-edge electronic labels such as [Too Pure], [Rephlex], and [Warp], and is known as a pioneering electroacoustic band.
Their unique style, which combines elements of indie rock and ambient techno with influences from My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins, has become a hot topic of conversation.
Their extremely radical and psychedelic sound led to them being called "post-rock" by Simon Reynolds, a writer for the British music magazine "The Wire" (the genre name has since become established).
He has performed live with many techno artists such as Autechno, and has had a great influence on the new era of UK techno.
Released their first album "Quique" in 1993, followed by "Succour" in 1995 and "Ch-Vox" in 1996.
After that, they temporarily stopped their activities, but restarted with the production of the 1st special edition.
The current members include the original members Mark Clifford (G, Programming) and Sarah Peacock (Vo, G), as well as two Japanese members: Shigeru Ishihara (B), known as DJ Scotch Egg, a next-generation techno artist who is becoming a pop star in Europe, and Kazuhisa Iida (Ds, Percussion), formerly known as Boredoms drummer E-da.
In fact, even during the hiatus, the band and [Warp] kept in constant contact.
And that led to him appearing in the Paris performance of Warp20.
This album was realized at the suggestion of label owner Steve Beckett, who was impressed by the band's live performance in Paris.
That's why, about 6 months after receiving the recording proposal, Seafeel appeared at Warp with this album in hand!
A new history begins here!!!
