Effect and performance of 0.79x wide (wide-angle) lens By attaching the HDP-7880ES wide (wide-angle) conversion lens to the camera lens, it is possible to shoot with a 27% wider angle of view compared to when it is not used. The HDP-7880ES wide (wide-angle) lens has 3 large aperture groups. The new design uses three pieces of optical glass to achieve a high central resolution of 355 lines/mm (design value at MTF 30%), and it is a wide (wide-angle) conversion lens compatible with 4K wide master lens, digital, and high-definition cameras. The new design has reduced the distortion rate (distortion), which is a problem with ultra-wide-angle shooting, to just -1.9%, a non-distortion level. Even if the HDP-7880ES is attached, the F value, which indicates the brightness of the camera lens, will not change. The HDP-7880ES lens is used by attaching each of the included adapter rings. (For diameters of 55mm, 58mm, 62mm) Also, by attaching an adapter sold separately, it can be used with other models such as FDR-AX100.
